Art Becker 1970-1971 Indiana Pacer Nicholas Volpe art print. Art Becker was an American Basketball Association (ABA) basketball player known for his six-year career from 1967 to 1973, where he was a two-time ABA All-Star (1968, 1972), an ABA champion in 1970 with the Indiana Pacers, and played for teams including the Houston Mavericks and New York Nets. He was a 6'7" forward who played for Arizona State University before joining the professional league, and he later served as the athletic director at Scottsdale Community College.
A 6 ft 7 in (2.01 m) forward from Arizona State University, Becker played six seasons (1967–1973) in the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a member of the Houston Mavericks, Indiana Pacers, Denver Rockets, Dallas Chaparrals, and New York Nets. He averaged 12.5 points per game over the course of his career and appeared in two ABA All-Star Games.
